Tuesday signing day predictions, CamRon Jackson, etc.
CamRon Jackson tells me that he won't be signing tomorrow.Like I thought last week, McKinnley Jackson was trending Alabama and that's my final pick.5-star DE Jordan Burch to stick with South Carolina. Now we wait to see if there's anything that comes about with some guys like Donovan Kaufman or Marc Britt

The War Room, January 30, 2020
Well, we are now less than a week from the second signing period for the class of 2020. Right now LSU has 23 on the board, 19 signees and four commits. Of the four commitments, three will sign next week. Hayesville OL/DL CamRon Jackson is not expected to sign next week while the staff waits to see how things finish out with him academically. There are no official visitors this weekend but there will be some unofficial visits by underclassmen and that will be the plan most weekends throughout the spring. I was told that there isn't currently a junior day scheduled in the coming weeks but there will be a continual stream of recruits visiting, especially once spring football practices start on March 2.While all eyes are on five-star defensive end @Jordan Burch of The Hammond School and four-star defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson of George County High School in Lucedale there are no names that have popped up as of now who could be signing day surprises like Foster Moreau and Lloyd Cushenberry in years past.*** I've now talked with sources that cover both Alabama and Texas A&M recruiting and they are just as in the dark as we are here. No one seems to have a high level of confidence in predicting where he'll end up signing. Of course, this weekend he's in College Station for his official visit so that's a positive for Jimbo Fisher and staff but that unofficial visit to Alabama a few weeks ago might be more of a tell. One thing I do know is that Ed Orgeron and staff have done everything possible with Jackson. That Tuesday in Lucedale was very much a positive. I know Jackson thinks the world of Ed Orgeron, Bill Johnson, Christian LaCouture and others in Baton Rouge. That dutch lunch at Aunt Jenny's Buffet was obviously an event in that town as well as Orgeron's visit to the Glen Oaks Nursing Center. No one would have known about that visit had it not been for the center posting their own pictures on their facebook page. That's some special heartwarming stuff right there. My Aggie recruiting source seems to think Alabama might be the one to watch for Jackson, but no one truly knows what he's going to do. Is Ole Miss even a possibility? It's going to be interesting for sure and we'll find out next Wednesday morning at 9:30am.*** Five-star defensive end Jordan Burch is the one where there appears to be the most confidence in signing with LSU next Wednesday. Last week at about this time we started to get word that he was going to come into town with his mom. They wanted that visit to be entirely secret but that was impossible. Word started getting out Friday morning and then of course photos surfaced Saturday and it was no longer deniable. The LSU staff has done everything they can with Burch. They've done all the leg work and there are great relationships formed with the mom. I think the fact that LSU is likely going to a 4-3 defense under Bo Pelini is another plus for LSU with Burch and Jackson. All of LSU's defensive linemen are excited about that possibility. Earlier today I spoke with the number one Gamecocks recruiting analyst and he's a lot like myself in that nothing will surprise either of us. There's a good chance he sticks with his South Carolina commitment and signs with the Gamecocks but there's an equal chance he flips.I'm told he will make the decision with his teammates in a private ceremony next Wednesday afternoon and as of now it's unclear about live coverage. We'll know more as that time approaches.Bottom line is that there are cases to be made for LSU getting both as there is for them splitting on the two as well as getting neither.I'm tempted to go with LSU landing Burch but it's not by much right now. Stay tuned and any questions, just post below and i'll get to them asap.

Ed Orgeron recruits and spreads joy in Lucedale
LSU head football coach Ed Orgeron spent a good part of Tuesday in Lucedale, Mississippi with several staff members. Once there he met with top defensive tackle recruit McKinnley Jackson and then a stop at a local nursing center where he was greeted with smiles.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TigerBait.com rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TigerBait.com Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TigerBait.com readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is LSU and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with LSU and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
