Grad transfers Alexander and Tracy fill voids

Tigers coach Ed Orgeron went the graduate transfer route to find immediate help for both spots – picking up defensive back Terrance Alexander from Stanford and kicker Cole Tracy from Assumption College. Both players are on their way to starting assignments.

LSU had two key roles which needed new players entering the 2018 season.

First, both Donte Jackson and Kevin Toliver gave up their final seasons of eligibility for the NFL. So, the Tigers had openings at a cornerback spot and at nickel back.

Second, Connor Culp and Jack Gonsoulin had their problems making kicks last season. Culp and Gonsoulin were a combined 16-of-27 on field goal attempts. So, the two kickers had just five more makes than misses.
