Tigers need to get healthy this week

August 12, 2019

LSU completed the first full week of preseason practice Saturday with a scrimmage emphasizing different situations.

According to coach Ed Orgeron, the defense dominated what occurred in Tiger Stadium. Such an analysis should not be a surprise since No. 1 quarterback Joe Burrow was not available due to an injury. Orgeron said that Myles Brennan performed well as the backup, but he is not Burrow.

Now, the importance of Burrow is shown by the fact that the LSU defense was missing three of its best players – outside linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson, cornerback Kristian Fulton and safety Grant Delpit.
