For the second consecutive week of preseason practice, LSU’s depth chart is taking a hit.

Less than 24 hours after Lowell Narcisse announced on his twitter account he was leaving the Tigers program, Justin McMillan became the second quarterback to make a similar decision Wednesday morning.

McMillan announced on his twitter account that he was transferring from LSU. McMillan, a fourth-year junior, graduated earlier this month. Therefore, he is eligible as a graduate transfer at any FBS school. He already would have been immediately eligible at a BCS school.

It appeared that McMillan finished spring practice as the Tigers’ No. 1 depth chart. However, the addition of graduate transfer Joe Burrow from Ohio State changed the look of the quarterback room. McMillan took the first reps at quarterback during the first week of practice.

Reportedly, there was a meeting of the quarterbacks Monday night at which time a rotation was established. On Tuesday, both Narcisse and McMIllen missed practice. Less than 48 hours after the meeting, both Narcisse and McMIllen announced they were transferring.

Orgeron has not publicly released a depth chart at the quarterback position. According to Orgeron, all four scholarship quarterbacks – Narcisse, McMillen, Burrow and Myles Brennan – worked with both the No. 1 and No. 2 offenses at last Saturday’s scrimmage.

LSU is now down to two scholarship quarterbacks on the roster – Burrow and Brennan, who was Danny Etling’s backup a season ago. There are two walk-on quarterbacks at practice – Andre Sale, a transfer from Tennessee Tech, and Jordan Loving.

Prior to this week, coach Ed Orgeron announced that starting guard Joe Ingram and backup inside linebacker Tyler Taylor have been indefinitely suspended. Cornerback Kristian Fulton lost his appeal with the NCAA to have his suspension reduced or ended.
