Another record-setting day for LSU’s offense

Everyone should have realized that the LSU offense was not a good matchup for the Vanderbilt defense.

That scenario certainly played out Saturday afternoon when the Tigers had no problems in the process of dismantling the Commodores 66-38 in their Southeastern Conference opener at Vanderbilt Stadium.

The 66 points were the most scored by LSU in regulation against a SEC opponent in school history. The Tigers’ previous best were their 63 points against Kentucky in 1997. LSU has now scored at least 45 points in each of its first four games – including 65 and 66 the past two weeks.
