LSU is most consistent elite program in 21st century

The second decade of the 21st century has ended.

The LSU football program has come a long way in these past 20 years. At the turn of the century, the Tigers were coming off as bad a stretch of football as there had been in school history.

LSU had endured a losing season eight times in the last 11 seasons of the 20th century. There had not been a Southeastern Conference championship since 1988. There were no SEC title game appearances.
