Productive debuts for Joe Burrow and Nick Brossette

Sunday night’s season-opener for LSU quarterback Joe Burrow and running back Nick Brossette started off in unusual ways.

Burrow, who made the first start of his college career after transferring from Ohio State, got involved in a verbal confrontation with Miami players more than an hour before kickoff.

Brossette, No. 1 on the depth chart, ended up being the third Tigers running back in the game after Lanard Fournette and Chris Curry.
