Grant Delpit becoming playmaker in versatile LSU secondary
All coordinators will admit that a strong secondary will permit the defense to use a variety of schemes up front.
Two games into the 2018 season, the versatility of the LSU secondary is quite obvious. Most of the Tigers defensive backs can line up at a variety of positions.
Grant Delpit can be a deep safety or be a blitzer from the nickel back position. John Battle can be a free safety or play down in the box. Terrence Alexander can cover a slot receiver or play a deep zone. Like Delpit, Ed Paris can play at the back of the defense or at the nickel back spot.
