LSU-Auburn preview

LSU has appeared in five Southeastern Conference championship games since the league divided into two divisions in 1992.

There is one barometer for LSU reaching the SEC title game – defeating both Auburn and Alabama. LSU has beaten the two schools from the state of Alabama five times in the last 26 seasons – 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2011. Those are also the only years LSU represented the SEC West in the title game.
