LAZARE: Tigers close out season in proper manner

Here was a disheartened and beat-up LSU team staring at an eight-point fourth-quarter deficit with less than nine minutes remaining in its season finale against Ole Miss on Saturday evening.

The Tigers had blown a 16-point third-quarter lead to the high-powered Rebels offense. In addition, a steady rain was falling in Tiger Stadium. No one would have been surprised if this LSU team had finally said enough was enough.
