Just four weekends ago Jay Johnson was readying his team for its College World Series opener against Vanderbilt.
The past month must have seemed like a whirlwind for the former Arizona coach. Johnson saw his Wildcats lose two straight games in Omaha. However, there was a change in scenery for Johnson shortly after his squad’s brief appearance at the CWS.
Johnson found himself as the individual now running the LSU baseball program, which has won six national championships.
