Rather ho-hum night for LSU against McNeese

September 11, 2021

The final score had very little meaning in the big picture for LSU on Saturday night.

Playing in their home-opener against outmanned McNeese State, the Tigers came away with a 34-7 victory.

The LSU defense lost its shutout when it allowed a 44-yard screen pass to go for a touchdown late in the game.

For the most part, McNeese couldn’t run the ball and quarterback Cody Orgeron certainly couldn’t complete passes. Orgeron was running for his life as he was sacked eight times.
