One had the feeling late in the first half that LSU could be in trouble despite holding a double-digit lead against Auburn.

LSU had been in control for most of the first 30 minutes, but it could not separate itself from Auburn. LSU found itself ahead by only three points at halftime.

Then, LSU watched Auburn score 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter which resulted in a 24-19 defeat. For the first time in 22 years, Auburn won a football game in Tiger Stadium.
