Ed Orgeron’s players had the opportunity to defend him. One would have expected LSU to be the more desperate squad. Instead, the Tigers players packed it in. Kentucky whipped LSU every way possible in winning its sixth consecutive game 42-21.

There was little doubt that the Kentucky Wildcats were the more desperate team in Kroger Field on Saturday.

Kentucky had reason to not be in the proper frame of mind after upsetting Florida one week earlier to win its fifth straight game. Moreover, Georgia is next on the Wildcats’ schedule.

Meanwhile, LSU’s season was on the brink.

Following a loss to Auburn, the criticism on Tigers coach Ed Orgeron drastically increased. The players certainly heard the noise.
