Orgeron back to being an interim head coach

Ed Orgeron will complete his time at the top of the LSU football program in the same position in which it began – interim head coach.

Orgeron was named the Tigers’ interim head coach four games into the 2016 season after Les Miles was fired. On Sunday, seven games into the 2021 season, LSU announced that Orgeron will no longer be the school’s head football coach after this year.

In essence, Orgeron will be the Tigers’ interim head coach for the next five or six games.
