Joe Burrow going through growing pains

October 10, 2018

Coach Ed Orgeron brought Joe Burrow to LSU to be its No. 1 quarterback.

None of the three scholarship quarterbacks on the roster during spring practice – Myles Brennan, Justin McMillan and Lowell Narcisse – proved to the coaching staff that he was ready to be a starter in the Southeastern Conference.

Burrow, a graduate transfer, left Ohio State after not winning the quarterback job in spring practice. Dwayne Haskins, who beat out Burrow, has completed 72 percent of his passes for more than 1,900 yards and 25 touchdowns with four interceptions for the unbeaten Buckeyes.
