Some 30 years ago, the Southeastern Conference expanded from 10 to 12 teams with the addition of Arkansas and South Carolina.
But, the expansion era was not a one-time event. It was 20 years later when Missouri and Texas A&M joined the SEC to give it 14 members.
However, the SEC was still not finished growing. In 2025, if not sooner, Oklahoma and Texas will become active participants in the SEC.
