LSU’s current No. 6 ranking in the CFP standings certainly has it in position to reach the national semifinals.

However, the Tigers cannot afford another defeat. A victory over Georgia in the Southeastern Conference championship game would not overcome a damage done by a defeat at the hands of UAB or Texas A&M.

So, LSU’s game against the Blazers on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium is a must-win game even though its opponent is not a SEC team.
