McMahon installing defensive mentality

LSU is halfway through its pre-Southeastern Conference schedule.

If not for a clock malfunction, the Tigers could be sitting with a 6-0 record – including the championship of the Cayman Islands Classic. But, LSU had bad fortune and dropped a one-point decision to Kansas State.

The Tigers are just one game worse than where they were at this point of the schedule a year ago under coach Will Wade.
