LSU starting quarterback Jayden Daniels announced on Twitter Wednesday that he will return to LSU for the 2023 season.

"This has been an amazing ride and honestly, I'm not ready to get off just yet,” Daniels said in a statement. “I am returning for the 2023 season to fulfill the goal of an LSU Tiger and bring our fans another championship."

Daniels was an integral part of LSU’s offense leading the Tigers to the SEC Championship and a 9-4 record.

In his first season at LSU after transfering from Arizona State he improved greatly as a passer and accounted for the majority of LSU’s offensive production.

Daniels has completed 68.5% of his passes for 2,774 yards, 16 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also set the LSU single-season record for quarterback rushing yards with 818 yards on 180 attempts with 11 touchdowns.
