Different era of football recruiting

Football’s National Signing Day came and went with little fanfare last Wednesday.

LSU coach Brian Kelly is bringing 36 newcomers to the football program – 25 high school players and 11 transfers from four-year schools. Not one of those players made his announcement this past week.

In fact, it had been well known for weeks which high school prospects were joining the Tigers for Kelly’s second year.
