Coming up: another try at the transfer portal

Matt McMahon’s first season as LSU basketball coach came to a conclusion a few days ago at the Southeastern Conference tournament in Nashville.

The Tigers probably stuck around one day longer than most college basketball observers predicted. LSU, which finished in the SEC cellar, defeated Georgia in a first-round game. One day later, the Tigers were eliminated by Vanderbilt.

Taking advantage of a soft non-conference schedule, LSU picked up 14 victories.
