Time for LSU to pick things up

Skip Bertman, the Father of LSU baseball, always marked April 15 as an important date for his teams.

Bertman would tell his players that it’s tax day, so it is time for them to turn things up a few notches. Bertman felt his teams needed to play well down the stretch of the regular season to set up a postseason run.

Current LSU coach Jay Johnson needs to have a similar conversation with his team. The Tigers have been scuffling since the calendar switched to April.
