NFL draft gives positive grade for Kelly

No one certainly expected Brian Kelly to have LSU in the Southeastern Conference championship game in his first season.

Kelly took over a program which was in disarray following the dismissal of coach Ed Orgeron. The Tigers had fewer than 40 scholarship players in uniform for an embarrassing 20-point plus loss to Kansas State in the Texas Bowl.

Kelly signed more than a dozen transfers to boost the 2022 roster.
