LSU back in familiar place as June baseball begins

When The ‘new’ Box was opened some 14 years ago, everyone associated with LSU baseball expected the stadium to be utilized during the first two weekends of June.

Remember the Tigers were a NCAA tournament regional host team every season from 1990-2005. But, there have been changes in recent seasons.

After reaching the College World Series in 2017, LSU played host to a regional tournament once over the next five years.
