TURNING POINT OF THE GAME

In a seven-overtime game, there were obviously many critical plays. LSU had two chances in late overtime periods to close out the victory. In the fifth overtime, the Tigers had the Aggies in a fourth-and-goal situation from the 6-yard line. One stop would give LSU the victory, but Mond completed a pass to Rogers to tie the score. Then, the Tigers had another six-point lead in the seventh overtime. Texas A&M was facing a third-and-15 from LSU’s 17. Mond connected with a wide-open Davis for the touchdown. Following two penalties on Greedy Williams and a false start on the Aggies, Mond hit Rogers for the game-winning two-point conversion.

LSU OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME

Burrow put the Tigers offense on his back and tried to lead them to victory. Burrow accounted for six touchdowns – three rushing and three passing. He completed 25 of 38 passes for 270 yards and rushed for 100 yards on 29 carries. Burrow still rushed for 100 yards even though he was sacked six times.

LSU DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME

Devin White was a one-man wrecking crew, particularly during regulation. White finished with a career-high 17 tackles, including four behind the line of scrimmage. He had one sack and forced a fumble which Divinity picked up and returned 58 yards for a touchdown.
