LSU-Mississippi State preview and prediction

The Southeastern Conference football schedule-makers have not been kind to LSU when it comes to the league opener.

For the 15th time since the start of the 2000 season, the Tigers will play their first SEC game on the road. That game normally has been played at Auburn or Mississippi State. LSU has begun its conference schedule at Auburn six times this century – splitting the six games.

On Saturday, the Tigers will open their SEC schedule at Mississippi State for the sixth time.
