Settling on personnel

The script for a college basketball season is not written in early and mid-November. But, Kim Mulkey and McMahon need to settle on a rotation by mid-December. The two coaches have different issues as regards the allocation of minutes when the Southeastern Conference schedule begins in January.

Both LSU basketball teams suffered surprising defeats during the opening ten days of the season.

The No. 1-ranked women’s team absorbed a double-digit setback to Colorado in its opener in Las Vegas. That one loss dropped the Tigers six spots in the national rankings.

Meanwhile, the men’s team was upset at home by Nicholls State – its first loss to a Louisiana school in 13 seasons.
