LSU football personnel breakdown as portal opens

The portal for football transfers opened Monday, so it is time for coaches to re-recruit their own players and bring in players from other schools.

Of course, LSU coach Brian Kelly cannot be solely concerned about the dealings in the transfer portal. For the Tigers to be a contender for the expanded College Football Playoffs, Kelly must convince numerous current starters to return to the program.

According to the Associated Press, LSU had only four All-Southeastern Conference players in 2023.
