Bowl game becomes more interesting

LSU’s matchup with Wisconsin in the ReliaQuest Bowl on New Year’s Day became far more intriguing in the last week.

The game between the 9-3 Tigers and the 7-5 Badgers did not become more meaningful on the national stage. But, the fact that Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels opted out of the game and offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock left for another stint at Notre Dame changed the narrative.

No one expected Daniels to play another game in a LSU uniform.
