Head coaches have been spending time making staff changes. The coaches’ goal is putting together a squad which can reach the 12-team College Football Playoffs. Eight of the 16 SEC teams have a legitimate chance of being a part of next season’s CFP.

The 2023 LSU football season has been over for one week.

In fact, the 2023 football season for all of the Southeastern Conference programs has been over for one week.

The college football season does not end until Monday night at Houston. But, for the first time in nine seasons, no SEC team is participating in the national championship game.

Big Ten Conference champion Michigan will play Pac-12 Conference champion and future Big Ten member Washington for the national title.
