LSU basketball teams start February in a rut

It was just a few weeks ago when LSU supporters were encouraged about the prospects for both basketball teams.

As expected, the women’s team won its first three Southeastern Conference games by an average of 16 points. Surprisingly, the men’s team won its first two league games – including a road victory against Texas A&M.

However, the second half of January provided few good results for both teams.
