It is interesting to look back at the productivity of LSU’s assistant coaches over the past ten seasons. Coaches should be judged on the caliber of the performance of their players. Such a criterion reflects the ability to recruit talented players and then develop their natural skills.

After two seasons at LSU, head football coach Brian Kelly made major changes to his staff.

Only four assistants who were with the Tigers during Kelly’s first two years will be back in 2024.

All four of those assistants work on the offensive side of the football – wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton, offensive line coach Brad Davis, quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan and running backs coach Frank Wilson.

There are some switches with the responsibilities for two of these four assistants.
