Signing Louisiana players is best plan

In his National Signing Day media session last Wednesday, head football coach Brian Kelly emphasized that Louisiana is the primary recruiting area for LSU.

The Tigers were very successful in getting nearly all of the best high school seniors in Louisiana to stay in state. Overall, LSU signed 28 high school seniors with 17 playing their football in Louisiana. The only in-state signee in February was Acadiana’s Dominick McKinley, rated the No. 1 player in Louisiana.
