It took baseball coach Jay Johnson only two seasons to end LSU’s national championship drought.

The Tigers defeated Southeastern Conference rival Florida in the third and deciding game of the College World Series championship series last June. The national title was the first in 14 years for LSU – its first since Paul Mainieri’s third season as coach back in 2009.
