More work to do for NIT berth

LSU basketball coach Matt McMahon made two very accurate statements about the current status of the program last week.

First, McMahon said this season feels like his first year with the Tigers. Without a doubt, McMahon inherited a mess of a roster following the firing of Will Wade. McMahon was happy simply to have 13 scholarship players available. LSU won two conference games.

Second, McMahon said reaching the NIT would indicate the 2023-24 season was a success.
