SEC race will reveal much about LSU

On Friday night, LSU will begin its 30-game grind in the Southeastern Conference with the opener of a series at Mississippi State.

The Bulldogs have experienced two down seasons after winning the 2021 national championship. Mississippi State has won nine consecutive games heading into midweek contests against South Alabama and UNO in Biloxi.

The Tigers won all but two of their first 16 non-conference games.
