It’s just one weekend

It was not until May last season that LSU lost a Southeastern Conference baseball series.

The Tigers dropped series to Auburn and Mississippi State during the first two weekends of May. Six weeks later, LSU beat Florida to win the national championship.

A much less experienced Tigers team opened the 2024 SEC campaign last weekend by losing two of three games to Mississippi State in Starkville.
