LSU's Hailey Van Lith has entered the transfer portal

LSU star guard Hailey Van Lith has entered herself in the NCAA Transfer portal.  She will use her one year of remaining collegiate eligibility at a different school.

Van Lith played in and started 33 games for the Tigers during the 2023-24 season after transferring from Louisville.  She averaged 11.6 points, 3.5 assists and 2.4 rebounds.  She also shot 83-percent from the freethrow line.

Before arriving at LSU, Van Lith played three seasons at Louisville where she averaged 15.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.  She led the Cardinals in scoring twice and helped lead the the team to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including the 2022 Final Four when she was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Wichita Regional.

She was also named First Team All-ACC as a sophomore and a junior.

LSU’s All-American forward Angel Reese announced earlier on Wednesday that she’s heading to the WNBA forgoing an additional year in Baton Rouge.
