LSU refuses to go away

LSU coach Jay Johnson has put together a baseball team which is resilient, if nothing else.

The first half of the Southeastern Conference schedule left the Tigers with a 3-12 record. LSU had very little margin of error heading into the last five weekends of league play.

Without a doubt, the list of opponents over the second half of the SEC slate was far more manageable for the Tigers. Only one of those five teams had a winning conference record.
