Very little margin of error for Tigers

Entering the final week of the regular season, the Tigers have a 33-20 overall record. LSU finds itself in 12th place in the overall SEC standings with a 10-17 record.

For the second time this season, LSU lost a Southeastern Conference game last weekend when it was one strike away from a victory.

On Friday, the Tigers held a one-run over Alabama with two outs and nobody on base in the bottom of the ninth. Reliever Griffin Herring had a full count on the batter. But, Herring was unable to close the door.

Herring issued a walk to keep the Tide alive. Three batters later, LSU walked off the field having absorbed a one-run loss.
