LSU football appears to be a bubble team in ‘24

All the terminology referring to March Madness will be applied to college football beginning in 2024.

The College Football Playoff is now a 12-team tournament. There are five automatic bids – going to the champions of the four power conferences and the highest-rated Group of Five conference champion.

So, that leaves seven at-large berths. The four power conference champions will receive first-round byes. Those four teams will be seeded one through four on the bracket.
