LAZARE: LSU holds serve during pre-SEC action

Basically, the Tigers did what they were supposed to do in the first seven-plus weeks of the season. LSU took care of business at home where they won all eight games. The Tigers will take a 15-game homecourt winning streak into their meeting with the Crimson Tide.

The first portion of LSU’s basketball schedule has ended on a positive note.

The Tigers extended their winning streak to three games by knocking off Louisiana-Monroe 81-69 at the PMAC on Friday. LSU’s two other victories in this stretch were more impressive – a four-point neutral site win over Saint Mary’s and an 18-point whipping of previously unbeaten Furman.
