Momentum-building stretch for LSU

It has been quite a last two weeks for the LSU baseball team.

Two Sundays ago, the Tigers came up short and dropped a one-run decision to Alabama in the rubber game of their series. That defeat put LSU’s NCAA tournament hopes on somewhat shaky ground.

However, coach Jay Johnson’s team proceeded to put together their best stretch of the 2024 season just when it was needed. First, there was a three-game sweep of Ole Miss which moved LSU into position to reach a NCAA regional.
