LSU preparing for results of MLB draft

The first key July deadline for LSU baseball has passed with Tuesday’s closing of the transfer portal.

Now, Tigers coach Jay Johnson can set his sights on the Major League Baseball Draft, which starts its three-day run July 12. Johnson is getting closer to having a better view of the 2025 roster.

LSU can still add transfers out of the portal, but a more accurate picture of the roster will not be present until the conclusion of the draft.
