SEC football observers will be following two storylines – determining the two teams who will meet in Atlanta for the championship and determining the teams who will be given College Football Playoff berths.

The Southeastern Conference football race will have a different look in 2024 with 16 teams and no divisions.

With Oklahoma and Texas moving from the Big XII Conference to the SEC, the divisional format ended. The teams with the two best league records will play for the conference title on the first Saturday of December in Atlanta.

It would be quite a surprise if there is no tie for at least one of the two championship-game berths.
