The losing streak for LSU in season-openers continued Sunday night in Las Vegas.

The Tigers entered the final quarter holding a slim advantage over USC. Then, LSU was thoroughly outplayed down the stretch.

The Trojans scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns – the last one coming with eight seconds remaining – to upset the Tigers 27-20 at Allegiant Stadium.

So, LSU has now lost five straight season-openers – three under coach Brian Kelly.
