LSU’s defense was absolutely atrocious in last year’s game against Ole Miss.

The Tigers allowed 706 yards in a 55-49 loss to the Rebels at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. That defeat cost LSU a New Year’s Six Bowl berth. That defeat caused coach Brian Kelly to bring in an entirely new defensive staff.

The 2024 defensive unit under new coordinator Blake Baker is better than the one the Tigers put on the field a year ago.
