Coaches pick LSU third in the SEC

Birmingham, Ala. – South Carolina is predicted to win the 2025 Southeastern Conference women's basketball championship in a vote of the league’s coaches.

South Carolina tops the order of finish, with Texas, LSU, Oklahoma, Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Kentucky rounding out the top half the league. Auburn, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Florida, Missouri and Arkansas round out the bottom half.

Texas’s Madison Booker was voted as SEC Women's Basketball Preseason Player of the Year. LSU’ Flau’Jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow, Oklahoma’s Skylar Vann and South Carolina’s MiLaysia Fulwiley also received votes.

Joining Booker, Johnson and Morrow on the All-SEC Preseason First Team are Sarah Ashlee Barker, Alabama; Georgia Amoore, Kentucky; Madison Scott, Ole Miss; Raegan Beers, Oklahoma; and Te-Hina Paopao, South Carolina.

The Preseason Second Team All-SEC is comprised of Aaliyah Nye, Alabama; Mikaylah Williams, LSU; Jerkaila Jordan, Mississippi State; Skylar Vann, Oklahoma; MiLaysia Fulwiley, South Carolina; Raven Johnson, South Carolina; Rori Harmon, Texas; and Aicha Coulibaly, Texas A&M.

Coaches cannot vote for their own team or players.

 

The 2025 season officially tips on Monday, November 4.
