Learning about your team

Hopefully, LSU basketball coaches Matt McMahon and Kim Mulkey were good students as they sat through their teams’ most recent games last week.

First, McMahon observed his team show some toughness in defeating Kansas State by double digits on the road last Thursday. The Tigers led most of the game. What was most impressive was LSU’s response after its lead was cut to single digits in the second half.

Holding a nine-point advantage, the Tigers scored seven consecutive points.
